Background: Nothing is known about Zoe's childhood. She was under Mal's command in the war and she is the only other member of his platoon that made it out alive. After the war, she went with Mal. She was with him when he bought Serenity and when he hired Wash, who she took an instant dislike to. As time went by, she warmed up to him and eventually married him. Despite being married to Wash, she is fiercely loyal to Mal, although she's the first to tell him if he's wrong. She is an excellent fighter and although she seems very cold and distant, she is a nice person.
